FAQs
Here you'll find lots of frequently asked questions about aerial fitness classes.
Hopefully you'll find any answers to questions you have, and if not, feel free to contact us and we will be happy to help!
Can anyone try aerial classes?
Currently our classes are for adults18+ only. Everyone is a beginner at some point and we always reccomend to try something new! You might just love it!
If you have ongoing injuries or heath problems, aerial activities might not be the best idea. Feel free to ask us any questions you have and we will advise as best as we can.
What should I wear?
We advise our students to wear form fitting clothing, (gym leggings and a fitted top) nothing loose fitting that could get caught while moving in the equipment. Cover your arms and legs to help to prevent any burns. Jewellery and watches will need to be removed before all classes and hair should be tied up to avoid getting tangled on the equipment.
How much does it cost?
Prices are all listed on our Plans & Pricing page. We are pleased to offer bulk discounts when booking multiple classes so why not book in bulk and save yourself some pennies!
Where are the classes and is there parking?
Our studio is based at Gym Fit in Clacton-On-Sea. The studio is on the first floor, at the rear of the gym. There is parking at the front of the gym, and there is also extra parking down the road too. There are toilets, changing rooms and lockers for out students to use.
Can I bring food and drink into class?
Aerial fitness classes can be tiring and you will need water to keep hydrated. You are welcome to bring snacks to class however we ask that all food is kept well away from the equipment.
How long are the classes?
Our classes are 1 hour long and consist of a full body warm up, strengthening exercises, aerial work, and a cool down at the end of the class.
What are the limits?
Currently our classes are for adults 18+. There is no weight limit for the equipment, all of our equipment has been load tested. Please bare in mind certain aerial moves do require you to support your own weight.
How do I book a class?
To book classes, head to our 'Contact Us' page or click the box in the top right corner which says 'Book Now'. Fill out the form with which classes you'd like to book and add any questions you have in the box on the form. We will be in touch and get you booked in if there are spaces in the class.
What if I'm late to class
If you are not present for the start of the class, unfortunately you will not be able to participate. The warm up at the start of the aerial class is essential and cannot be missed.
Do I need to be strong already?
The beauty of aerial arts is that is build strength as you go along. You don't need to have upper body strength or flexibility to start off with - we all start somewhere!
Aerial fitness is a great workout and way of building strength and flexibility while having fun. A few weeks in and you'll be feeling the positive results right away!
